LIAR.
In a world where information is more available and digestible than ever before, how much of our asserted reality is simply fiction or A LIE ?
LIAR is being developed by Tamilla Woodard, Peca Stefan and Ana Margineanu as part of PopUP's residency at Women's Project in 2017. We are now doing research for the project, trying to gage how much of our daily existence is formed by lies. Most people like to believe that they live their lives in truth, but when one takes a closer look, one may discover all levels of deceit floating in the air unnoticed: Little white lies, lies disguised as “secrets”, big fat lies, that once uncovered are of the magnitude to destroy relationships, careers, systems of governance and break up homes. There are lies disguised as “facts” and “information”, news we take from media, hearsay from the neighbor, product advertisement, and of course those “official” political and social lies that surround us more each day.
